Can you get your knee over your toe? Adequate ankle mobility directly influences the activation of muscles throughout your legs. When the ankle can move through its full range of motion, the calves, quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes can engage more effectively and less likely to cause injury
How do you know if you need to improve your ankle mobility?
Go down to one knee in a low lunge. Place your toes 6 inches away from the wall. Lean forward and try to touch your knee to the wall without your heel coming up off the ground or hips turning. If you can not get to the wall with your knee you might have poor mobility in your ankle.
