I’ve been teaching for ten years and I’ve never taught the same class twice. The obvious reason is to keep it interesting but the real reason is to help you create a mental connection to your physical body. What do I mean by that? If we do things on repeat our bodies can start to move without a conscious decision to do so. Have you ever made a car journey and arrived without realising how you got there, or walked into a room and forgot why you went there?. By constantly changing the classes we are forced to stay present and listening. If we don’t know what’s coming next in class we have to stay present to find out, not zoning out and thinking about other things, but staying in the here and now. This helps to build a mental capacity as well as physical strength. If you’ve been coming for a while you will noticed this becomes easier with practice as we train our brains and bodies
Sure, it takes time to create new classes everyday, but the benefits are worth it. I look forward to seeing you soon 🙏🏻
